Australian Museum

The Australian Museum was founded in 1827 and is the nation’s first museum. The Australian Museum is recognised as a natural science and culture institution and holds more than 21.9 million objects and specimens. Free general admission includes entry to all permanent exhibitions and the Prehistoric Playground and the museum plays host to a number of exhibitions throughout the year.
