An elegant sanctuary where rich history meets modern elegance, The Porter House is a destination of discovery. As with every MGalley Hotel, The Porter House was chosen because it tells a unique story in Sydney’s history.
Paying tribute to the original 1876 Porter House, history is weaved into each of the 122 guest rooms. The hotel’s interior colour palette is composed of dusty pinks and mushroom grey for a warm yet modern feel. Paying homage to Porter House’s history as a tobacco and leather merchant, elements of leather, pressed tin and organic textures are throughout. Soft curves and arches dominate design, while bed lamps are playfully mismatched – one vintage, one modern – to represent the heritage of this magnificent destination.
